About Michigan Lake Sturgeon:
The lake sturgeon is one of Michigan’s most fascinating and historic fish species, dating back over 150 million years. These incredible creatures can live for more than 100 years, grow up to 7 feet long, and weigh over 200 pounds. While populations have faced challenges in the past, conservation efforts have allowed the lake sturgeon to rebound in Michigan’s waters, making it a prized and exciting catch.
