Join Women of the Wild for our Fifth Annual Sandhill Crane Hunt in Lubbock, Texas, in collaboration with Open Plains Outdoors! We’ve had incredible success hunting these prehistoric birds, and we’re excited to welcome you back for another unforgettable season.
Hunt Details:
•Hunt Dates: December 5th, 6th, & 7th, 2025 (Friday-Sunday)
•Arrival: December 4th, 2025
•Location: Lubbock, Texas
•Lodging & Meals: Included at a beautiful Airbnb, featuring home-cooked meals, breakfast at the lodge or packed to-go, field lunches, and hearty evening dinners complete with Wild Game Cooking and desserts. Let us spoil you!
Hunting Experience:
•Three days of Sandhill Crane hunting
•Optional goose hunt (depending on flyway conditions)
•Blinds: A-Frame, layout, or panel blinds based on bird location
•Expert guidance from Open Plains Outdoors
License & Gear Requirements:
•Required Permits:
•Texas Migratory Game Bird License
•Federal Duck Stamp
•Sandhill Crane Permit
•Ammunition: Non-toxic shot is required
•Gear Recommendations:
•Warm, wind-resistant clothing (Texas wind can be brutal!)
•Gloves, hats, and heated gear preferred
•Waterproof boots for comfort in the field

Women of the Wild Policy & Terms and Conditions:
By registering for this event, you agree to Women of the Wild’s policies and terms, including but not limited to:
•All participants must hold the required licenses and permits.
•A 40% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot, with final payment due before the hunt.
•Safety is our top priority; all hunters must adhere to firearm and field safety guidelines.
•Women of the Wild is not responsible for injuries, lost/stolen gear, or extreme weather conditions impacting the hunt.
•Alcohol consumption is prohibited during hunting activities.
•Any cancellations must be made in writing, and 90 days prior to the event.
