We are still looking back and thinking about all the new friendships and memories made at Duck Camp this year! Here’s Taylor, our finale spotlight! She traveled far to be with us that weekend!

I’m Taylor Cross! I was born and raised in Southampton County in Southeast Virginia. I was fortunate to grow up hunting from the time I could walk on our family farm and the surrounding areas with my dad and brother. A fun fact about me — we raise cotton and peanuts on our farm, and I’m super passionate about agriculture. I work as a Precision Ag Specialist for CNH.

I love spending time outdoors, especially deer, turkey, and duck hunting. Recently, I’ve started hunting with all-girls groups, and it’s been so rewarding to share my hobbies with other women who love the outdoors just as much. I’m always up for an adventure — between traveling for work and for fun, I’ve been crossing off my goal of hunting in every state, most recently in Michigan!

Happy Thursday!!! We are kicking it off today with a Spotlight from Duck Camp, I know we said it was our finale one yesterday but this girl, let us tell ya! Here’s Allie! She is one of our newest Ambassadors!

Hiii! I’m Allie. Im from Michigan! A navy veteran. Currently going to school full time for social work. And I have a 7 year old daughter who loves the outdoors just as much as I do.

I started hunting 5 years ago when I was connected with an organization that gets veterans outdoors. I went on my first deer hunt and was instantly hooked. Since then, the outdoors has became a huge part of my life. I love everything about hunting and fishing, and I’m always excited to learn something new. Everyone told me I would love duck hunting more than deer hunting…. They were not wrong. I learned so much at WotW duck camp and had the best time with some amazing women! I’m forever grateful for these experiences!

On our finale day of 2025 Duck Camp Spotlights! We hosted this wonderful women Linnea!

Hello there! My name is Linnea Leonard. I am currently active duty in the United States Navy as a Nurse, stationed in Southern California. I am originally from Illinois where my family operates a corn and soybean farm—I plan to one day return once I’ve completed my service and my brother and I will be the 6th generation to operate our farm! Growing up in a small farm town the outdoors was introduced to me at a young age and I only grew more passionate about it as I’ve grown older—hunting, fishing, camping, farming, horses, to name a few! I spend most of my free time riding horses and chasing hunts wherever I am lucky enough to go—you tell me where and I’ll be there ✈️. I have been lucky enough to hunt many different states and many different animals and have met some of the most amazing friends and mentors along the way. It’s a bit of a challenge being in the military and moving every few years having to establish in a new area and figure out the public land and the different regulations etc, but I try to make the most of it and immerse myself in the area I am stationed and meet local hunters to help mentor me. My dream hunt is a horse pack trip for elk; one day I hope to make that happen! Happy hunting 😁

Hi, im Jenny! I grew up near Grand Rapids Michigan and still live in the west Michigan area today. I currently own and run High Maintenance Maid while raising 2 young children. Women of the Wild has been apart of my life for 4 years, this past year becoming a PR!
Being an avid angler has always been my passion. From traveling across the country and living in the Great Great lakes state I’ve learned many different styles of fishing!
Women of the wild introduced hunting into my life and I haven’t stopped since! From upland to turkey, Waterfowl and Whitetail I’ve been blessed to experience these in such a short amount of time! My mentors have been nothing but amazing and supportive! Ill continue my mission with women of the wild with our passion and ongoing support to women in the outdoors!
I still have many fishing adventures l’d like to check off my bucket list. Making my way back to Alaska for Halibut, South America, and the Florida keys for tarpon and Goliath Grouper!
Can’t forget ocellated turkey is on the list!

Happy first Monday of November! I have no clue how we got to November already! Here’s Maddie, one of the amazing 22 women who attended this years duck camp!

Hello All!
I’m Madison Boston! I was born and raised in Sullivan, Indiana on my family farm. I have two Australian Shepards and a Silver Lab who are my world. I am a Product Validation Manager for Case New Holland where I have my dream job advancing the agriculture industry! I grew up hunting whitetails with my Uncle Clay, and have since ventured out to other hunting adventures such as turkey, duck, pheasant. More recently, I’ve discovered my love of Musky fishing! I also enjoy bass fishing tournaments and fishing for Walleyes. One of my most memorable hunts was in South Africa where I shot a Sable! My favorite adventures start with anything outdoors. I strive to be a good steward of the land and nature while helping educate others along the way. My favorite band is Treaty Oak Revival. My other hobbies include going to concerts, reading, hiking, and baking. I’m thankful to have recently joined Women Of The Wild on a Sturgeon fishing trip and a diver duck hunt. I’m looking forward to joining WOTW for the boar hunt in the spring! I’m so thankful for WOTW for the networking and relationships I’ve built through these events!

Happy Sunday! We are still at it featuring our 22 lady waterfowlers who attended our 1st annual WOTW Duck Camp at Rose Island Duck Charters in Sebewaing, Michigan a week ago! So here’s Danielle!

Howdy! I’m Danielle Miller from Weatherford, Texas. Like many military veterans, after separating from the USAF in 2014, I faced the challenge of finding my place in civilian life. In 2019, everything changed when I was invited on a duck hunt with a military-veteran nonprofit. On that trip—surrounded by fellow veterans—I harvested my first duck, and experienced the camaraderie that I lost when I exited the service. That moment sparked not only a love for waterfowl hunting but also a passion for building connections in the blind, especially with other women and female veterans.
Since then, I’ve traveled across the U.S., learning different hunting styles and forming friendships with incredible women hunters. While waterfowl is my main pursuit, I also enjoy upland and big game hunting. My dream adventure? Chasing emperor geese on Kodiak Island, Alaska, and wild upland birds in North Dakota alongside my loyal duck dog, Sarge.
I’ve had the privilege of joining several hunts with Women of the Wild—and each one has been unforgettable. Here’s to more adventures and lifelong connections.

Let us introduce Laurel! She went to our 2025 WOTW Duck Camp!

Hello!
I’m Laurel Brath! Born and raised in Shawano, Wisconsin but currently living in Kokomo, Indiana, where I work as a Paramedic and a Deputy Coroner. I’m passionately curious and like to try (most) new things both in profession and leisure. I have a Yorkie and a Malinois. I am a Marine Corps veteran and have shot a lot of really cool weapons but this past weekend at Rose Island was my first time hunting(ever!). I didn’t grow up in a hunting/outdoors family but my bestie introduced me Women of the Wild and the world of guided excursions. I have dabbled in many hobbies including snowboarding, sport motorcycles, sport/working dog training, fishing, photography, target shooting at the range, trap shooting, and 4wheeling/atvs.
My current favorite hobbies are: growing rare houseplants, catfish noodling, going to the gym, reading (mostly dark smut🤭), and listening to Sleep Token.
I have recently tried bowfishing and now waterfowl. I’m so excited to do more hunts to put good food in the freezer and understand nature better. Happy to be here!🌻

I’m always up for a new hunt or opportunity. I have hunted for deer, duck, goose, turkey, upland, dove and rail. I also enjoy bowfishing during the summer months. The outdoors has turned into a calming space for me through life.”

Hi I’m Marley! I’m from Wisconsin and have been hunting since I was 12, and fishing since I was little! But over the last five years I’ve really fallen in love with waterfowl hunting. There’s nothing like early mornings in the marsh watching the ducks work the decoys or hearing the geese call on a fall morning. I’m also big into fishing, open water or through the ice, I’ll chase walleye any chance I get. When I’m not hunting or fishing, you’ll usually find me outside hiking, camping, or foraging for mushrooms. Being outdoors isn’t just something I do for fun, it’s where I feel most at home.

Hi! I am Sarah Maddie. I am originally from Michigan but I now live in Minnesota. I started to get into hunting in college and absolutely fell in love with it. Bird hunting of any kind is my favorite. I love hunting with women because it always about limitless memories and laughs. My other hobbies include riding snowmobiles and ATVs, sporting clays, and golf. I love being outdoors in general and I am always down to try new adventures. Another favorite thing to do of Sarah’s is finding that perfect Northern Light show! Her favorite blind snacks are “strawberry uncrustables” and some form of charcuterie whether it is meat and cheese or my snackle box!

Megan Lockwood was the lead WOTW representative for our 2025 Duck camp with Rose Island Duck Charters. This event went off seamlessly due to her hard work and dedication.

She has been passionate about waterfowl hunting since 2015. What started as a curiosity quickly turned into a lifelong pursuit filled with early mornings, muddy boots, and unforgettable sunrises over the marsh. Megan loves the challenge and tradition that come with duck hunting, the calling, the camaraderie, and the connection to nature.

Beyond the hunt, she’s dedicated to sharing her experience with other women, showing that confidence in the field comes with time, patience, and a willingness to learn. Whether she’s setting decoys or mentoring new hunters, Megan embodies the spirit of Women of the Wild: empowering others through adventure and shared passion for the outdoors.

Over this past weekend Women of the wild hosted our first annual Womens Duck Camp in Sebewaing, Michigan at Rose Island Duck Charters!

We are going to introduce all of our ladies over the next few days who attended Duck Camp with us. First off is Allissa!

Hi! I’m Allissa and live in central Indiana. Solo camping and hiking are some of my favorite hobbies, but I also really enjoy fishing and traveling with friends. My boyfriend has been really instrumental in teaching me the importance of conservation and using the whole animal we take. Over the last few years I’ve been branching out and meeting other like-minded women to hunt and fish with. I just started hunting this year and shot my first pheasant, turkey and duck! Now just waiting on that deer to walk by!

Women of the Wild Duck Camp 2025 🦆

What an unforgettable weekend at our 2025 Women of the Wild Duck Camp! Twenty incredible women from across the United States came together for a weekend full of laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories in the marsh.

We broke into smaller hunting groups throughout the weekend, rotating teams to give everyone a chance to experience something new. Some ladies harvested their very first ducks, while others were seasoned veterans that cheered each other on. From puddle ducks to divers, we truly had it all!

The energy, teamwork, and camaraderie were unmatched. Our PRs went above and beyond, keeping things organized and fun, while Megan absolutely crushed it in the kitchen with her incredible home cooking that kept everyone fueled and smiling.

A huge shoutout and thank you to Rose Island Duck Charters for helping make this duck camp one for the books. Here’s to strong women, new friendships, and more mornings in the blind together. 💚

Meet the Team: Emily Loveall our Newest Women of the Wild Ambassador, Indiana

Emily is an adventurous mom of identical twin girls from east central Indiana whose passion for the outdoors runs deep. After years in the grain industry, she recently took a bold leap leaving her corporate career behind to focus full-time on raising her family and growing her own wildlife removal business. 🦝

Though she didn’t grow up hunting or fishing, Emily’s love for the outdoors took root after high school when she taught herself how to fish. What began as quiet moments on the water quickly evolved into competitive angling, leading her to tournament fishing and a thriving outdoor community that fueled her fire even more.

Today, Emily proudly represents Indiana Bass’n Gals and Indiana ADC, balancing her life as a mom, entrepreneur, angler, trapper, and growing hunter. Her journey is proof that it’s never too late to discover or redefine your place in the outdoors.

More than anything, Emily is passionate about helping women and kids step outside their comfort zones, learn new skills, and build confidence through hands-on outdoor experiences. Her mission is to inspire others who, like her, didn’t grow up in this lifestyle but have the heart and drive to make it their own.

Allie’s journey into the outdoors began during her transition back to civilian life after serving in the Navy. Looking for ways to connect with fellow veterans, she discovered the calming and empowering presence of nature. What started as casual fishing trips quickly grew into a deep passion for hunting and bowfishing, and now, five years later, the outdoors has become a central part of her life.

Allie thrives on the challenge and excitement of bowfishing, finding joy in the combination of skill, strategy, and quick reflexes it demands. But beyond the adrenaline, the outdoors is a place of healing and reflection for her a space where she can recharge, push her limits, and build lasting bonds with a community that shares her love for adventure.

Her journey reflects the resilience, courage, and determination that make her a true Woman of the Wild. Through her story, Allie hopes to inspire other women, especially veterans, to explore the outdoors and find their own path to strength and adventure.

By choice, she’s a devoted outdoorswoman, spending her falls pursuing waterfowl, big game, and upland birds, often with her two scruffy Wirehaired Griffons by her side. Her life embodies adventure, grit, and a deep respect for the wild places she helps protect.

Reggie’s personality blends resilience with humor as an Aries who jokes about enjoying long walks on the beach when she’s not deep in the woods, and someone who never turns down a classic old western. She thrives on the balance between adrenaline-fueled days in the field and the quiet, grounding moments that only the outdoors can bring.

When she’s not in the field, Taylor leads her hiking group, Raising Outsiders, and runs Wild Remains, LLC a small business she operates alongside her husband, Ethan. Together, they share their love for nature with their two children, Harlow and Wilder, passing down a lifestyle built around respect for the land and appreciation for the rewards it provides.

Shauna is an avid whitetail hunter from southeast Minnesota who finds peace and purpose in the woods. Whether it’s the crisp silence of a frosty morning bowhunt or the adrenaline rush of gun season, she thrives on every moment spent in the wild.

When she’s not in a treestand or casting a line, Shauna is shaping young minds as an elementary school teacher. She loves inspiring her students to step away from screens, get outside, and discover the beauty of nature for themselves.

As a proud Women of the Wild Ambassador, Shauna is passionate about creating opportunities for women and youth to experience hunting, fishing, and conservation. She believes that mentorship and education are key to keeping outdoor traditions alive, and she leads by example, continually learning, growing, and encouraging others to do the same.

Meet Reanna Frauens our Women of the Wild Ambassador, Florida

Reanna is a professional sporting clays shooter and avid hunter from the Sunshine State. Her love for the outdoors began at an early age, hunting alongside her father, a bond that soon grew into a deep passion for the shooting sports. What started as time in the field evolved into a remarkable career on the range, where she now competes professionally and represents seven companies within the shooting industry.

Beyond competition, Reanna dedicates her time to coaching camps and clinics across the country, helping others build skill and confidence behind the gun. She proudly contributes to programs like the SheHunts Skills Camp in Utopia, Texas, inspiring and mentoring women to embrace the outdoors and hunting lifestyle.

When she’s not on the range or in the field, Reanna is pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Auburn University, with a focus on wildlife and exotic hoofstock. Her dedication to both conservation and education shines through every aspect of her life.
