If you’ve never experienced the rush of diver ducks dropping into a decoy spread over open water, this is your chance! Join Women of the Wild and Dreamcatcher Charters for an unforgettable morning chasing some of Michigan’s fastest-flying waterfowl from layout boats.

We’ll meet approximately one hour before sunrise and head out before first light to get set up for the morning hunt. Once the birds start moving, you’ll experience the excitement, anticipation, and adrenaline that make diver duck hunting one of the most thrilling forms of waterfowling.

This hunt is typically based in the St. Clair and Algonac area, but locations may vary depending on weather conditions, water conditions, and migration patterns. In some cases, we may travel farther north toward the Saginaw Bay region to put our hunters in the best possible position for success. Flexibility is part of the adventure, and we’ll go where the birds are!
Whether you’re a first-time duck hunter or a seasoned waterfowler, this event offers an incredible opportunity to learn, build confidence, and create lasting memories alongside a supportive group of outdoor women.

* Michigan Migratory Bird License
* Federal Duck Stamp
* Shotgun and non-toxic ammunition
* Waterproof outerwear and weather-appropriate clothing
* Waders and warm layers as conditions require
Experience Level
All experience levels are welcome! New hunters are encouraged to join and learn, while experienced hunters will enjoy the challenge and excitement of open-water diver hunting.
