About Michigan’s Lake Sturgeon
The lake sturgeon is a living fossil — a species that has thrived for over 150 million years. These magnificent fish can live for more than a century, reach lengths of 7 feet, and weigh over 200 pounds. Thanks to dedicated conservation efforts, sturgeon populations in Michigan have made a remarkable comeback, offering anglers the rare opportunity to encounter these incredible creatures firsthand.
We strictly practice catch and release only for Sturgeon.
